 Police Codes:


Code 1: Respond at normal pace, no lights/siren. (Specify amount of units needed.)

Code 2: Respond quickly and safely, you may use lights/siren. (Specify amount of units needed.)

Code 3: Urgent response needed, respond with lights/siren. (Specify amount of units needed.)

Code 4: Situation Cleared.

Code 6: Out of Service 

Code RED: Officer needs help, send code 3 back up and clear the channel.

10-2: Repeat

10-3: Negative

10-4: Message received o.k.

10-5: Suspect wrecked 

10-8: Clear and available for assignment; on patrol.

10-9: Suspicious incident (specify vehicle or subject + description)

10-12: Traffic Stop (Unit, Location, vehicle description)

10-13: Officer down 

10-14: Prepare a roadblock

10-18: Urgent

10-19: Responding/en route

10-20: Current location

10-23: Disregard

10-24: Arrived at scene 

10-27: 9/11 Hang-Up *

10-29: Background check

10-33: Officer in Jeopardy 

10-36: Alarm Activated *

10-41: Collision/Motor Vehicle Incident 

10-43: Disturbance reported

10-53: Pursuit 

10-56: Intoxicated Person(s) *

10-58: Armed Person *

10-60: Violent 

10-62: Take suspect into custody *

10-68: Escort 

10-72: Robbery/ breaking and entering/ burglary 

10-81:Status Check All Officers

10-97: No convictions 

10-98: Driving conviction 

11-99: Explosive Device Reported

P.I.T: Precision immobilization technique, can be used during pursuits if needed.
